Bobs Furniture coming forward for Stony Brook Elementary School

It was the turn of schools and kids located in New Jersey to receive donation and help from Bobs Furniture for their exceptional work in fine and performing arts. Bob’s has been instrumental in refining the infrastructure level of schools where its stores are located. Since Bob’s furniture believes in repaying back to the community whatever it has been earning from it the outreach program is implemented in letter and spirit.

Bob's Discount Furniture donated funds to seven schools in New Jersey in support of arts and education programs. These funds were made possible through money collected in donation jars, which are located in each store's cafe.

Kenneth Richmond, Bob's New Jersey ambassador and Paramus store manager, presented $1,000 checks to the following schools  :

Stony Brook Elementary School, North Plainfield
Crossroads North Middle School, Monmouth Junction
Ridge Ranch Elementary School, Paramus
St. Anne's School, Jersey City
Colonia High School, Colonia
Frank Napier Academy, Paterson
Wayne Valley High School, Wayne

"We value the community support we receive at all of our locations, and are thrilled to help enhance education and arts programs in these areas," said Cathy Poulin, public relations director, Bob’s Discount Furniture. "We encourage donations in all of our stores, and distribute this money to worthy schools and community organizations up and down the East Coast."

Every month, Bob's randomly selects schools in the communities near its stores and grants a donation ranging from $1,000 - $5,000. With stores across New England, New Jersey, New York, Maryland and Virginia, Bob's has donated money to hundreds of schools over the last 20 years. Previous winners have used the donations for purchasing new art and classroom supplies, funding student activity groups and going on field trips.
